Celebrating the reopening of Slade Pharmacy Box Hill
Since its opening in 2005, Slade Pharmacy Box Hill has reached several significant milestones that have reshaped hospital pharmacy practices and elevated patient care. They were the first in Australia to install an automated robotic dispensing machine and commence the ePrescribe trial in a fully paperless hospital. The team also continued to grow from five to 20 team members and has been home to many exceptional pharmacy careers.
Over the years, the team has worked well in a small space, but the new larger and upgraded location will provide a more welcoming environment and allow the pharmacy team to deliver care more effectively.
Global Director – Pharmacy and Compounding, David Slade said this pharmacy is a great example of Slade Pharmacy’s long history and commitment to best-in-class pharmacy services.
“At Slade we embrace innovation to drive efficiency and enhance services and ultimately, patient outcomes,” said David.
“The Box Hill team have worked tirelessly to ensure patients and hospital staff receive the best possible service and this new space will allow them to thrive and continue to improve the way we deliver healthcare and provide outstanding customer service to our valued hospital partners.”
To mark this special occasion, the Slade Box Hill team were joined by Epworth’s Ashley Wheeler, Lisa Edwards, Darren Modin and Helen Bales as well as David Slade, Group Chief Operating Officer for Pharmacy, Russell Hill and pharmacy leaders, John Evans, Alex Kusiak and Evon Chong.
