IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR PATIENTS AND VISITORS – NOVEL CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19)
Information current as at 21 July 2020
In line with Victoria government requirements regarding face mask wearing, all customers entering our pharmacies from 23 July must wear a face mask or appropriate nose and mouth covering.
Please ensure you have a face mask when you arrive at the pharmacy.
If for medical reasons you can’t wear a face mask we will ask you to wait outside the pharmacy and a Slade Pharmacy staff member will collect the items you require.
We appreciate your cooperation with this requirement. Through mask-wearing and other simple hygiene practices such as hand sanitising and social distancing, our goal is to provide further protection against COVID-19 for our customers and staff.

Restricted access arrangements to our Melbourne-based pharmacies remain in force.
Where temperature checking is available at our sites, we are asking all customers to also be temperature checked., and patients will be screened verbally with the following questions:
- Do you feel unwell or have any symptoms such as fever, sore throat, runny nose, cough?
- Have you recently returned from international travel?
- Have you been in contact with anyone who currently has COVID-19 or is awaiting test results for COVID-19?
The number of customers in-store at any one time will be monitored to comply with social distancing requirements.
While current opening hours remain unchanged we encourage you to check the opening hours for the site you are visiting.
It is still important that our staff and customers at all sites continue to respect the 1.5 metre self-distancing rules, use hand sanitizer upon entry and continue with contactless payment where possible.
Limits on dispensing and sales of prescription and certain over-the-counter medicines introduced by the Australian Government remain in place.
Our pharmacists will work proactively with patients to ensure they understand what they need in terms of filling prescriptions during this time. Please note this is an evolving situation and may change.
Our increased hygiene and sanitation controls remain in place and we continue to work closely with our hospital partners to implement the necessary protocols to minimise risk of exposure to our customers and staff.
The safety of our people and patients remains our priority. Our actions are being continually evaluated against the latest Australian Government advice and we have plans in place to ensure we are well prepared for further COVID-19 developments.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact your local Slade Pharmacy.
