Residencies
For pharmacists looking to take the next step in their career, the Slade Pharmacy Services Residency Program, accredited through Advanced Pharmacy Australia (AdPha), offers a structured, experiential learning pathway. The program combines workplace-based learning, clinical rotations, assessment, research, and mentorship to support early-career pharmacists in advancing their practice and building expertise across a range of clinical settings.
Throughout the two-year program, residents are supported by experienced preceptors and pharmacy leaders while building a portfolio of evidence that demonstrates their growth, competence, and impact on patient care. Successful completion provides Resident-level recognition through the Australian and New Zealand College of Advanced Pharmacy (ANZCAP), helping pharmacists establish a strong foundation for future career progression, advanced practice, and leadership opportunities.
Technician development
All pharmacy technicians receive education in core medication management fundamentals, including, medication safety, high-risk medication, and best practice dispensing. Pharmacy technicians are supported to complete relevant certificate level training to assist them in building skills and expertise related to their roles. We offer a training pathway for technicians to provide clinical support functions in the hospital ward environment via an advanced training program.
